What's New Page: 1

I purchased this car in November 2000. It appears that the car has spent it's entire life in Georgia.

The car was dis-assembled, and all the small parts bagged and tagged.

After taking the car apart, it was decided what was needed to be done, step by step.

1.Made a list of items I would need in order to restore the car. Look out e-bay and my credit cards.

2. Started stripping the car by hand, all the flat surfaces, and two gallons of paint stripper.

3. After stripping, car was taken and sand blasted. Inside and out.

4. I then had a friend of mine cut out the bad floor sections and weld in new ones.
The next step will be the car going to the painter.

I have also replaced the back board on the door and back seat panels. So they will be going to the upholster, along with the seats. I have also polished most of my chrome strips (really aluminum). Purchased numerous odds and ends to replace the bad parts. Will up date as I go along. 9/14/01.

Drilled the hood and put the hood scoop on, looked good. Next big step will be to cut the hood for the ram air effect. Have to feed those 2-4's some how? Wish I could figure out how to do that without cutting the hood? 9/27/01

My plans on rebuilding the car.

I had already purchased a 1955 Chrysler 331 Hemi and sent it off to the builder. Told him I needed to get at least 350-400 HP out of the engine, He said no problem, we'll see.

The car will be pretty much stock, except for the engine. It will be heater and radio delete(Live in Florida). Will put disc brakes on the front, tie the two sub-frames together. I'm redoing the dash, with an aluminum insert with Autometer Gauges.

Backing the engine with a rebuilt small block 727. The car will be painted Viper Blue, interior will be dark blue and white. I plan on putting a time period correct hood scoop on, just haven't decided whether to cut a hole in the hood to make it functional.

I would also like to say thank you to all the folks on the '62 to '65 Mopar web site for all their help and especially to my good friend and motivator, Bobby Vaughn, who keeps me trudging on. My scheduled time of completion is 11/02. Wish me luck. Dennis

Engines back, have to replace valley pan. Sure is big.
