06/18/02 - Well the best laid plans of mice and men sometimes go a stray. I'm not going to hit my finished goal. Funny how things like that never seem work out. The engine is back and it looks great, except for one thing, I do not like the orginial valley pan with the big breather tube. Will change that out before I fire it up. The hardest part of getting the engine in was getting the right motor mounts, finally had to have some made. Ended up moving the engine up 1" and forward 2". And still had to dimple the passenger side shock tower. I could have gotten by doing that if I had wanted to use stock valve covers, but wouldn't give up the aluminum ones. With a little luck and the good lord willing, it will be painted next month, Viper Blue. We'll see.
